Incubation and Acceleration support to 500 MSMEs and 2,500 young women
Background
PEDN is implementing the 10X Program from May 2025 to May 2026 in partnership with Outbox and United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) with support from Mastercard Foundation. The Theme is 10X Program: Digitalizing Women Agribusiness.
The program is empowering 2,500 young women (18-35yrs) and 500 women-inclusive Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in 7 districts in Eastern Uganda namely: Busia, Tororo, Mbale, Pallisa, Sironko, Bulambuli, Kapchorwa districts in Eastern Uganda.
PEDN is supporting the businesses to adopt using of digital technology in their businesses over a 12-month period. The digital adoption includes use of digital devices, use of digital platforms and use of digital credit to strengthen their record-keeping, financial management, enhanced access to markets and contribute to dignified work for the young women.
Objective: The young women and businesses (MSMEs) are better positioned to compete in the digital economy, scale their businesses, and inspire others in their communities.
