We are currently implementing the Empowerment for Girls’ Education (EGE) project across 17 districts in Uganda including Jinja, Mukono, Buikwe, Mubende, Kakumiro, Kibaale, Hoima, Masaka, Bukomansimbi, Lwengo, Sembabule, Mpigi, Mbarara, Ntungamo, Isingiro, Sheema and Wakiso districts among others. EGE is a three year project funded by UKAID and is implemented by a consortium of Organisations, which are Opportunity International the Lead Partner and PEDN, OBUL, Teach a Man to Fish (TAM2F), Aflatoun International and Link Community Development (LCD) as Key Partner Organisations (KPOs).

Empowerment for Girls’ Education (EGE) project envision marginalised girls of Uganda being able to complete a full cycle of education, supported through economic empowerment initiatives, life-skills training and the efficient use of financial services
The purpose of this project is to improve the learning, retention and transition of girls through the delivery of financial literacy training to 15,444girls in 132 schools in 3 years.
