Children's Programs

PEDN is involved in the following Children's Programs:

Aflatoun Child Saving Program

Aflatoun aims to help break the poverty cycle by socially empowering children through a complimentary process of child rights and financial education.

Aflatoun, a fireball from outer space, interacts with children to help them access information about the 5 core elements at the heart of Aflatoun:
  1. Personal Understanding / Exploration
  2. Rights & Responsibilities
  3. Saving & Spending
  4. Planning & Budgeting
  5. Skills involved in running small scale social or financial projects.
Every child who engages in the learning program becomes an Aflatoun. Once an Aflatoun, the child is empowered to become a change-maker. Creating Aflatoun change-makers has a positive impact on the child's immediate family, their community and eventually the world.
